Energising the enterprise journey to 5G and IoT

A new wave of connectivity is set to redefine enterprise. This is the first in a series of findings from EY research into enterprise attitudes to TMT services and service providers. The insights are drawn from a survey of 200 enterprises, either based in the UK or with a significant UK presence, conducted in November 2018.

The advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) coupled with high-speed, low-latency 5G technology can deliver unprecedented change, redefining organisational agility while creating more dynamic employee and customer relationships. This research delves into the attitudes enterprises have towards these emerging technologies – and how TMT providers can support them on their journey.

UK Tech News interview with Praveen Shankar

Telecoms and tech companies need to move beyond the supplier mindset of old to a partnership mindset. To do this, TMT providers need to focus on explaining the business benefits of 5G, and engage in consultative dialogue that positions 5G within the broader context of enterprise transformation. TMT providers should be ready with robust solutions to convert business potential into operational strength.
