UMT Consulting Group joins EY to drive portfolio and program management and expand strategic relationship with Microsoft

EY announces that UMT Consulting Group LLC, an enterprise project portfolio management firm, has joined Ernst & Young LLP in the U.S. UMT Consulting Group is best known for providing business process and technology consulting services to large corporations and government entities.

The deal also gives EY a unique opportunity to address its services which include acceleration into capital-intensive programs, capability enhancement, and intellectual property for EY’s global strategic alliance with Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT).
Deal complements EY’s strategic relationship with Microsoft
The pairing of UMT Consulting with EY will:
- Combine UMT Consulting’s deep experience in implementing Microsoft’s project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions with EY’s Microsoft-based platform for driving program and portfolio performance (PPC – Program Performance Center), thereby supporting clients’ strategic improvement of their portfolios and the execution of programs to realize business benefits;
- Draw upon the strong, established relationships EY and UMT Consulting have with Microsoft’s sales teams across its regions, as well as EY’s strategic and executive alignment to help clients with their digital transformation; and
Leverage the extensive current account coverage and power of C-suite relationships across the two organizations to provide end-to-end PPM services.
EY announced a strategic business relationship with Microsoft in May 2015 to deliver new and innovative services through their respective digital-age strengths to companies around the world.
