In 2017, LAB³ was a startup. Now, a Microsoft Partner, it is one of the major southern hemisphere Azure engineering practices, developing products and providing technology services. LAB³ empowers businesses and governments to modernise quickly through secure, automated and scalable cloud technology.

LAB³ has experienced annual growth since its establishment. The company heavily invests in assets and accelerators to develop, define, and execute projects quickly and flawlessly.

The company works with numerous well-known businesses and has intellectual property across multiple cloud domains. Its product-led services and product licensing generate revenue, accelerating innovation and repeat business across sectors and regions.

LAB³’s hyper growth is down to its CEO and co-founder, Chris Cook. Chris has come a long way since he set out on the entrepreneurial trail, selling tadpoles as a child!

Chris says that the key to his entrepreneurial success has been bringing the right people together, people who complement each other and are equally driven. When it comes to the reasons for the success of LAB³, Chris cites its staff and their focus on the success of its clients.

The founder’s motivations extend beyond the financial: he aims to create meaningful jobs, boost the Australian and New Zealand economies and improve community prosperity. Chris prides himself on his commitment to honesty and corporate social responsibility.

In terms of personal achievements, Chris is proud of his wife and three children. He is also pleased to have made his mother proud after apparently causing her “a lot of grief” in his younger years.
