Olive Tai is the co-founder and Managing Director of Synagie Group, a major e-commerce enabler in SEA. As the region’s leading and awarded digital commerce management (DCM), and brand technology solution and service provider, Synagie operates over 1,000 e-stores on 12 digital commerce platforms for 600 brand partners. This includes Nike, Lululemon, Estee Lauder, L’Oreal Group, Samsung, Samsonite, Electrolux and Unilever.
Prior to setting up Synagie, Olive spent 20 years in FMCG and retail, in various leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb and Watsons. At that time, the e-commerce ecosystem was nascent, with even established MNC brands grappling with the intricacies of selling on online marketplaces. Sensing an opportunity, Olive and her partner co-founded Synagie as a solution and service provider, dedicated to assist businesses, of all categories and sizes, as well as marketplaces in their online sales endeavors.
Currently, Synagie has been ranked 21st in Straits Times and Statisa’s Singapore’s Fast-Growing Companies Report 2024. A mother of two amazing daughters, Olive is a strong advocate for environmental sustainability, and learning and support for women in digital commerce. She co-founded and is an executive committee member of Singapore Women Entrepreneurs Network (SG-WEN) under the Singapore Business Federation. She is also an active member of their SME committee and mentor to its Young Business Leaders Network.
