EY Law Japan Announces Dan Matsuda as New Managing Partner

EY Law Co. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) hereby announces the appointment of Mr. Dan Matsuda as Managing Partner, effective 1 April 2024, upon which the tenure of current Managing Partner Mr. Junzaburo Kiuchi shall conclude.

Mr. Matsuda, a licensed legal professional in both Japan and the state of New York, joined EY Law Japan in April of 2022. During his previous tenures at major Japanese and international law firms, he amassed a wealth of experience in cross-border and domestic corporate and M&A transactions. He is well-versed in a variety of industries, including energy, chemicals, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, real estate and banking, and has also advised payment settlement/fund transfer service providers and fintech companies on legal and regulatory matters.

Under the leadership of Mr. Matsuda and building upon the foundations laid by Mr. Kiuchi, EY Law will enhance our global service offerings, provide high-quality and high-value-added services across various sectors, and support our clients by leveraging our global partnerships and experience. Furthering these efforts, EY Japan will also continue to introduce more robustness to our organizational structure, adapt to ever-changing business environments, and ensure we do our utmost to contribute to the growth of our clients’ businesses.
