At EY Nordics, we're not just talking about change; we're actively building a robust pipeline of female leaders. Our female sponsorship program (EY Career Watch) and strategic succession planning are about more than just filling positions; they're about recognizing and nurturing the untapped potential of high-achieving women, aligning them with career opportunities and sponsors that propel them toward a future with leadership possibilities.

Our strategy involves specific commitments to break down barriers and advocate for inclusivity at every level of our organization. Some of our many initiatives are listed below:

Women’s Finance Day: A day for female students arranged by the Norwegian Business School to promote a career in the finance sector.
ODA partnership: ODA partnership: EY is proud to be a platinum partner of ODA, Norway’s leading network for women in technology. Through this partnership, we aim to promote gender diversity and social responsibility by encouraging more women to pursue careers in tech. Our collaboration includes a wide range of activities such as Inspirational Day, TENK Tech Camp, networking events, mentoring programs, and internal network meetings.
EY NextGen: A local competition designed for female students, where participants collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in transaction advisory. The program concludes with both national and global finals, offering a platform to showcase talent and build connections with industry leaders. The winning student also wins an internship opportunity at EY-Parthenon.

Recruitment Process Support

We strive to eliminate barriers and to champion the success of individuals with disabilities. Additionally, we have established a LGBTQ+ Unity Network that unites our community, allowing our employees to feel included and to advocate for the issues that matter to them. This includes developing our internal processes, raising awareness, and making a positive impact on the entire EY community.

An example of how we strive to include, represent and celebrate different cultures is our employee resource group "Cultural Diversity”. In this group, we enhance data on this subject matter, but first and foremost, we create awareness around different cultural traditions that we wish to acknowledge such as Ramadan, Eid and Diwali.

But our commitment doesn't stop at awareness. In the Nordic countries, we've established a welcoming network for our international colleagues. We offer a deep dive into Nordic work culture and language lessons, ensuring that every new member of our family, along with their loved ones, feels right at home in their new surroundings.
