Jeff helps to lead the WCEY’s focus on international tax policy and takes the lead in representing financial services clients, including banks, asset managers, and insurance companies, as they seek to achieve their tax policy objectives both in Washington, D.C. and globally.
He brings nearly 30 years of experience, working with companies as they seek policy solutions through the legislative and regulatory process in Washington and in other countries in which they operate.
Most recently, he has coordinated and helped to lead coalitions of banks, insurance companies and finance companies on issues relating to tax reform, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project, the OECD Common Reporting Standard, the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, and a range of financial services tax and product issues.
How Jeff is building a better working world
The value of WCEY and my practice is the hard work and enjoyment we all get out of cooperation and collaboration. WCEY brings together information and resources that provide true benefits to our EY colleagues globally as they serve their clients and to the unique client service practice that we have in Washington.
Teaming in National Tax Department (NTD), across practice lines and across borders, is a critical element, and the work that I’ve done in particular bringing together EY teams globally to represent financial services clients on OECD BEPS work over the last six years is an amazing and gratifying differentiator and key example of how I am building a better working world.
