EY MENA Assurance Partner and Executive Sponsor of the MENA Entrepreneurial Winning Women Program

Assurance professional who is passionate about diversity and women empowerment. Mother of twin girls. Loves to eat and cook.

Sheikha is a partner in Assurance in the Kuwait office and is the executive partner sponsor for the MENA Entrepreneurial Winning Women.

She currently leads EY’s Women Fast Forward initiative in MENA, which aims to accelerate the achievement of gender parity in the world. She is also responsible for launching the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Program in MENA.

With over 15 years of experience in audit, accounting and related advisory services, Sheikha has led on several projects for high-profile clients primarily in the Financial services industry, but also in real estate, logistics, consumer products and retail sectors, in the government, public and private sectors.

Sheikha is the National Graduate Development Program leader in EY Kuwait, promoting the development and employment of national staff in Kuwait.

She is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the US and a certified licensed auditor in Kuwait. She got graduated from Babson College in Boston, US.

How Sheikha is building a better working world

"It is very important for me to act as a visible role model for our people, encouraging people to live our values and focus on doing the right thing. I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of people I interact with. I have an active interest in counseling and coaching our people and have been a mentor to several high performing women across service lines in MENA. Being a strong advocate of mentorship has led me to introduce the Entrepreneurial Winning Women program in MENA, equipping female entrepreneurs with the right tools to grow and scale–up their businesses. I believe that the success of our firm depends upon our ability to develop outstanding individuals which will enable us to build a better working world."
