Focused on M&A advisory, restructuring, business advisory and regulatory advisory services, Abizer is the National Leader of Financial Services and Restructuring in India.

With 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has executed and advised over 100 transactions, worked on government projects and is a member of various committees formed by governments or regulators.

Abizer is experienced in assisting buyers and sellers of businesses in evaluating the risks and opportunities of their intended transactions. Having advised on a number of high-profile, complex transactions, he has a deep understanding of and practical experience dealing with issues that arise in Indian transactions, both for equity and debt. He has led a team which was the first to implement various initiatives on restructuring by the Reserve Bank of India, and runs the largest insolvency and bankruptcy related practice in India.

Abizer holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Sydenham College, University of Mumbai and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
