Rebeka Kleytman is a Manager in the legal practice of EY in Bulgaria with more than 15 years of experience. She is fluent in Bulgarian, English and German.

Rebeka has extensive experience in M&A, restructuring, insolvency, banking and financial regulations, passporting of banking licenses, non-banking financial institutions, international financings and employment, including employment litigation.

At Ernst & Young Law Partnership Rebeka leads the employment law and the financial regulation practices. She is also a member of the M&A team.
She leads M&A transactions including legal due diligences, negotiations, signing the transfer agreements and closing of transaction.

In respect of financial regulation Rebeka advises clients in lending transactions, including support with negotiations and utilizations. She is also responsible for advise in respect of securities, ISDA based arrangements and regulations.

Rebeka is also one of the core members of EYnovation in Bulgaria – a program supporting start-ups with innovative solutions in their growth and expansion.

  • Rebeka has advised international financial institutions on their set up in Bulgaria, initiation of operations and restructurings, compliance reviews and advice and coverage of all ancillary services such as data protection issues, trade marks registration, drafting of the internal rules of a operation and the general terms and conditions, compliance with consumer protection law, etc. 
  • Rebeka has extensive experience in international financing arrangements, including such based on LMA, adaptation for compliance with Bulgarian law, refinancing arrangements and work out procedures, she has acted as both lead and regional adviser in respect of a number of syndications governed by local and foreign law.
  • Rebeka has extensive experience in international transactions involving cross border due diligences in Austria, Macedonia, Germany and Bulgaria, etc. 
  • During her carrier, Rebeka developed extensive expertise in the structuring and execution of M&A transactions including acquisition of companies from regulated sectors (such as listed companies, companies from the energy sector, companies from the chemical industry, medical devices, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, etc.). She has participated and lead a number of due diligences, including consideration of the risks and structuring of a risk mitigation action plan. 
  • Rebeka has advised a number a clients from regulated and unregulated industries (e.g. insurance, banking and pharmaceuticals) on mass dismissals, dismissals of key employees, termination of operations by full dismissal of employees, notification and consultation procedures, employment litigation.
