Sam Ooi

Sam Ooi is the Group Managing Director of OCK Group Bhd. He began his career as an electrical engineer and founded OCK Setia Engineering Services in 1999 as a sole proprietorship. He later expanded the business with the incorporation of OCK Setia Engineering Sdn Bhd in 2000. Apart from managing the operations of the Group, Ooi is also responsible for formulating and executing business strategies. He plays a key role in driving the growth, development, transformation and strategic direction of the Group.

OCK Group is principally involved in the provision of telecommunication services. As a Network Facilities Provider (NFP) licensee, it is able to build, own and rent telecommunication towers and rooftop structures to other telecommunication operators in Malaysia. The company also trades in telecommunication hardware and installation of materials, acting as a supplier to telecommunication network service providers and operators.

The OCK Group has since ventured into green energy and power solutions. It is active in the construction of solar farms and supplying power generation equipment to commercial, retail and factory buildings. The company also provides mechanical and electrical services to housing development projects, commercial high-rise buildings, factories and infrastructures.

Under Ooi’s leadership, the OCK Group’s footprint has grown significantly, with establishments in Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar and China, where it provides network optimization services.
