Tan Ging Hoon founded Alliance Contract Manufacturing (ACM) in 1998 as a joint-venture with a Singapore public company to provide contract design and integrated manufacturing technology solutions to global high-tech OEMs specializing in medical equipment, semi-con, E&E, digital printing, imaging and display, precision motors and electric vehicles.
In 2005, Tan incorporated AllianceCorp to acquire full equity in ACM. AllianceCorp expanded its manufacturing operations to China in 2007 as well as to the Netherlands and Czech Republic in 2012.
Starting with RM 500,000 in seed capital and 200 square feet of operation space, Tan persevered and successfully developed the company into a home-grown MNC with RM 300 million revenue, 580,000 square feet of floor space and 900 employees worldwide in 2017.
