Since 2012, Blahoslav has been working at EY on international integration projects in the electricity and gas sectors, developing strategies for regulated and unregulated energy entities across Europe, and working with government authorities on new energy legislation. Blahoslav's current focus is on the digitalisation of the sector and decarbonisation, and his favourite topic is market design.
Blahoslav advises companies on how to effectively introduce new regulatory standards and legislation (national, REMIT, EMIR) into their processes.
In the past, he served as founder and vice-chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), as a member of the Board of Regulators of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and as a representative of the Energy Regulatory Office in the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER).
He also participated in the drafting of the new Energy Act.
Blahoslav graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he obtained an engineering degree and later a PhD in Economics and Management in the Energy Sector. At the University of Florida he completed a program on utility regulation and strategy in the energy sector.
