Founder and CEO, Losszero Co.,Ltd, Japan

Mitsuki Bun is the Founder and CEO of Losszero Co Ltd, a Japanese company launched in 2018 that focuses on promoting the sharing and reutilization of excess food commodities within the business community.

Mitsuki has been involved in reclamation projects for eight years, working with valuable items from what many would consider waste. Her primary area of interest is in one of the world's most pressing concerns: food loss. Despite initial challenges, Mitsuki’s persistence and vision has gradually garnered understanding and cooperation in the business community. Mitsuki continues to draw inspiration from her father as she charts her own course as an entrepreneur.

A graduate in Economics from Doshisha University, Japan, Mitsuki first worked at a major Japanese financial institution before founding her first business in 2001. She has donated 40,000 hair accessory items to girls in 10 countries around the world and promoted vocational training programs in Cambodia.

Mitsuki received the Special Award of the “Food Industry Mottainai Award,” sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in 2020, and the “Osaka Environmental Award 2022” from Osaka Prefecture. She also received the Chairman of the Review Committee Award of the “Food Loss Reduction Promotion Award” from the Ministry of the Environment and the Consumer Affairs Agency in 2023 and was awarded the “New Tohoku” Reconstruction and Creation Star Award by the Reconstruction Agency. Her vision is to reduce wastefulness globally and to promote recycling.

Our vision is to reduce and utilize the wasteful things in the world and increase the smiles. By visualizing the amount of CO2 reduction, we contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.
