Vladimir Linev came of age under communism at a time when entrepreneurship was banned. He was a physicist and professor at the Belarusian State University, and it was here that he began to research and develop scientific instruments, realizing their potential to save lives. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, Vladimir seized the opportunity to bring his inventions to the world and founded ADANI. He was one of the first entrepreneurs in the country.

ADANI is now one of the world’s top 10 vision and imaging technology companies. The business provides over 50 products to more than 80 countries with a focus on medical radiology, X-ray security screening and medical testing. ADANI places a strong emphasis on scientific research and is a pioneer in successfully combining science and business.

One of the company’s breakthrough products is the micro-dose medical X-ray digital imaging system, used for tuberculosis and breast cancer screenings. Vladimir is particularly proud that in Belarus, where the population is 9.6 million, there are now 450 clinics with medical X-ray equipment that provides early cancer detection of tuberculosis and breast cancer, saving tens of thousands of lives.
