Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud
Founder and CEO, Cadenza Innovation
A corporate strategist with extensive C-suite experience in building technology-based businesses from inception to rapid revenue growth, Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud is renowned for her pioneering work in developing and commercializing lithium-ion batteries. She currently serves as CEO of Cadenza Innovation, a startup she founded in 2012 to bring safe, low-cost, high-performance energy storage solutions to the electric vehicle, utility/grid storage and industrial markets.
Earlier in her career, Christina founded and was CEO and International Chairman of Boston-Power, an award-winning battery company she grew from a startup into a global organization. Backed by US$360m in funding, the company has Beijing and Boston technology centers and multiple Asia-based manufacturing locations. A two-time World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer award winner, she co-chairs the Forum’s Global Future Council on Energy. Christina holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Uppsala University in Sweden and conducted post-doctoral work at MIT.
