EY Geostrategic Business Group Leader
Jon Shames leads the EY Geostrategic Business Group, which has been formed to assist companies in understanding the business implications of geopolitical disruption in the world today. Under Jon’s guidance, the group is tapping into the vast EY network of subject-matter professionals on global matters to provide clients with innovative, actionable guidance on opportunities and risks in markets around the world. The group is leveraging EY professionals’ strong knowledge in areas such as trade, tax, M&A and risk.
Jon has more than 35 years of experience working with global companies. He has spent his career problem-solving with clients and has witnessed the increasing influence that geopolitical issues play in individual boardroom decisions. Jon also has a strong background in the private equity sector and has worked with some of the largest global private equity funds. He recently served as EY Americas Private Equity Leader and was a member of the global private equity leadership team.
