Seven CFOs of leading companies in Bulgaria have been named CFO of the Year 2023 in the eight edition of the competition.

On 1st February, during an official ceremony the CFO of the Year 2023 competition winners in six different categories were announced. CFO of the Year is an yearly competition organised by EY Bulgaria in partnership with Capital newspaper. It aims to distinguish successful financial leaders with contributions to both the development of the CFO role as well as the development of a company and a team. 

This year’s competition attracted exceptional professionals from a variety of industries and economical sectors. We were delighted to have received nominations from young and well-established professionals from different sized organisations. 

All candidates were evaluated by our independent judge members: 

  • Prof. D. Sc. (Econ.) Bistra Boeva - University for National and World Economy
  • Daneta Zheleva - CEO of Industrial Holding Bulgaria AD
  • Milena Dragijska - CEO Lild Bulgaria
  • Nikolay Andreev - CEO Vivacom Bulgaria
  • Nikolay Genchev - former CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Insurance Company "UNIQA" AD
  • Todor Breshkov - Managing Partner, Launchub Ventures

Small and medium enterprises Winner - Radoslav Pashov, Ences Investment Group

Small and Medium Enterprises Winner - Lyudmil Kemanov, Pontica Solutions

Control and Reporting Winner - Stephane Vernede, SOF Connect

Strategy and business partnering Winner: Svetozar Iliev, Shelly Group

Finance function transformation Winner - Ivelin Kamburov, Credissimo

Team leadership and talent development winner: Yanislav Stoychev, FANTASTIKO Group
