Last week, the prestigious media International Tax Review (ITR) announced the winners of the annual EMEA Awards for professionals in the field of tax services - ITR Awards. For the second year in a row, EY, with the nomination of its teams in Sofia and Bucharest, received the Grand Prize for Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year for Central and Eastern Europe. The team's expertise, the complexity of transfer pricing cases, and EY's focused efforts to train and develop its experts are the three key factors noted by the experienced ITR jury.
Viktor Mitev, Associate Partner with a focus on international taxes, transfer pricing and acquisition transactions for EY in Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo, shares: "I am happy that for the second year in a row the work of our team has been awarded by ITR. Over the past months we have gained extensive experience - we have worked on complex cases related to the design or revision of transfer pricing policies of international companies of key importance to the Bulgarian economy. We advised fast-growing local companies that are building their international structure from scratch. "
In 2020, EY Bulgaria continued to develop the Center of Excellence in Transfer Pricing in Southeast Europe. The center attracts and develops an international expert team from Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo.
As one of the leading tax consultants, EY has been repeatedly honored in various categories at the ITR Awards. This year, the company won a total of 16 tax awards in the region of Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
Naiden Kostadinov, Partner and Tax Leader at EY for Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo, shares: "The ITR Awards honor companies with the most innovative work and excellence in transfer pricing, tax enforcement, consulting, structuring and tax protection. We have excellent feedback from our clients about our professional work, which obviously coincides with the evaluation of the prestigious publication.”
The ITR EMEA Tax Awards have taken place annually since 2005 and recognize remarkable achievements and developments by international tax professionals from the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
