Henrik Badin is on a mission to help companies deliver on the United Nations climate change goals and offer them a pathway to CO2 neutrality. As CEO of Vow ASA, Henrik leads more than 150 employees across Europe and the United States in developing technology to help businesses purify wastewater, convert biomass and waste into valuable resources, and generate clean energy.

Henrik’s tireless determination is the reason for Vow’s success. In 2008, the former owners of the company were unable to navigate the financial crisis and pulled out. Henrik was convinced he could keep it going, believing the technology the company had created was worth fighting for.

With Henrik’s long track record in environmental engineering and his ability to build relationships, he led Vow out of the crisis, adding new customers and investing heavily in new markets. The company has since seen incredible growth, with “a rise in value in the last three years of 2,500% and an order book that ensures the company’s future growth,” Henrik says.

For Henrik, Vow is much more than a company name — it is a promise to customers, investors and the world that it will continue to persevere in creating a cleaner and more sustainable future.
