Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP Shenzhen Office (EYHM-SZ) celebrated the official relocation to its upgraded new premises in Qianhai today, reinforcing its growing investment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), long-term commitment to Shenzhen and strong confidence in the region’s future development. The relocation establishes a dual-office presence in Shenzhen, with offices in both Lo Wu and Qianhai, enabling EYHM-SZ to further enhance its integrated service capabilities across the city and support the continued development and upgrading of Shenzhen’s modern services sector. Leveraging EY global network, multidisciplinary expertise and industry insights, the firm will also continue to help GBA enterprises connect with global markets and expand their international presence, contributing to the high-quality development of the GBA.

Local government representatives, together with Jack Chan, EY China Chairman and EY Greater China Regional Managing Partner; Effie Xin, EY Greater China Chief Operating Officer and Financial Services Managing Partner; Tony Mao, Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP, Chief Partner and EY Greater China Managing Partner, Assurance; William Huang, EY China South Managing Partner, Benny Cheung, EY Hong Kong and Macau Managing Partner and Eric Xie, Office Managing Partner of EY in Shenzhen, joined other guests in witnessing the opening ceremony to mark this important milestone.

This year marks the start of the National 15th Five-Year Plan period and a pivotal year for the GBA as it advances its strategic national mission and enters a new stage of holistic development. From its early positioning as ‘a demonstration zone for deeper cooperation among the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao’, the GBA has evolved into one of the nation’s three designated international innovation and technology hubs. It has also become a leading national hub for institutional opening-up and a key gateway supporting Chinese enterprises in their global expansion. These developments have created significant opportunities for EY to further deepen its presence in the GBA and support its continued growth.

Jack Chan, EY China Chairman and EY Greater China Regional Managing Partner, says: “The GBA has always been an important part of EY China’s commitment to support national development strategies. EYHM-SZ comes at an opportune time. More than 800 professionals will be based at our new Qianhai office. Together with our existing office in Lo Wu, this creates a dual-office footprint spanning the east and west of Shenzhen, further strengthening our strategic presence and capabilities in the core areas of the GBA. It also represents a tangible investment in the well-being of our people and our long-term commitment to sustainable development.

Looking ahead, EY China will continue to collaborate with stakeholders across sectors to fully leverage on the GBA’s new positioning as ‘a strategic fulcrum of the new development pattern, a demonstration zone of high-quality development, and a pioneer of Chinese modernization’. With a broader service network and more comprehensive professional capabilities, we will support Chinese enterprises in strengthening their roots at home and expanding globally with confidence, while contributing to the nation’s high-quality economic and social development, and deeper global economic and trade cooperation.”

Deeply rooted in Shenzhen for 34 years, EY is poised for the next chapter of growth. Throughout this journey, EYHM-SZ has supported the growth of leading local corporations, participated in their listing journeys and witnessed the launch of major capital market platforms as well as innovative pilot initiatives across the GBA. Leveraging its outstanding regional industrial ecosystem, the region has in recent years boosted the growth of technology, advanced manufacturing, and new economy enterprises. At the same time, capital markets in the GBA are further integrating with enhanced cross-border channels. A+H listing has become the strategic option for a growing number of GBA enterprises. As businesses navigate increasingly complex operating environments, their challenges now extend beyond any single location or business area, spanning across financing, capital raising, cross-border operations, internal controls, data compliance and international expansion strategies.

Tony Mao, Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP, Chief Partner and EY Greater China Managing Partner, Assurance, says: “Qianhai serves as a key platform for Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaboration and a national demonstration platform for financial sector opening-up. The opening of our Qianhai office will further enhance synergy and efficiency across EY in South China and the GBA, by integrating extensive experience in serving the mainland market with Hong Kong’s deep understanding of international capital markets. This will enable us to better support enterprises in achieving sustainable growth globally. At the same time, EY will leverage Qianhai as a strategic base to advance the digital and intelligent transformation of audit services and nurture multidisciplinary talent. We remain steadfast in our commitment to quality, supporting the high-quality development of capital markets and businesses, while contributing our professional expertise to deeper connectivity and integration across the GBA.”

Guangdong is currently advancing the coordinated development of manufacturing and services. As the integration of the two sectors continues to deepen, the services industry is becoming increasingly integrated throughout the entire manufacturing value chain, serving as a key driver of economic transformation and industrial upgrading. As a uniquely positioned special economic zone, Qianhai focuses on the modern services sector while benefiting from Nanshan’s innovation ecosystem with Bao’an’s manufacturing advantages, positioning it to seize a new wave of development opportunities. At the same time, as more enterprises use Qianhai as a springboard for global expansion, professional services have been integrated into every stage of the globalization journey. Professional services, including accounting and consulting, therefore have substantial room for growth and development potential in Qianhai.

William Huang, EY China South Managing Partner, says, “To support regional strategic priorities and evolving market demands, EYHM-SZ has relocated to a new premises in Qianhai. This move strengthens our ability to support technological innovation, serve the real economy and facilitate industrial upgrading. Currently, most of the technology and cross-border clients of EYHM-SZ are in Nanshan and Qianhai. Our new office brings us closer to the front line of our business, enabling faster responses, deeper market engagement and stronger collaboration with the region’s industrial development. Looking ahead, we will leverage Qianhai’s unique ecosystem and strategic advantages to work closely with industry service platforms in building a more integrated service platform that supports high-quality economic development.”
