On April 20th, Main Capital Partners B.V. (“Main”) announced that they have acquired a majority stake in VideoVisit Oy (“VideoVisit”), a leading provider of software services for virtual healthcare and online consultations established in 2010 and headquartered in Vantaa, Finland.

VideoVisit provides its digital healthcare and social care visit platform to over 200 municipalities in Finland. In 2021, the company employed approximately 30 professionals and reported a revenue of EUR 4.1 million.

Main is a Netherlands-based strategic investor focused on software companies in the Benelux, DACH and Nordic markets. The acquisition of VideoVisit represents Main’s first platform investment in the Finnish market. With the support of Main, VideoVisit will explore multiple growth opportunities including organic growth prospects, strategic partnerships, and selective buy-and-build acquisitions. In 2021, Main had over EUR 2.2 billion of assets under management and had invested in more than 130 software companies.

This transaction highlights EY’s capabilities in providing first class cross border financial advisory and integrated legal services to our mid-market clientele in Finland.

During the transaction process, VideoVisit was advised by our EY Mid-Market team and EY Law. EY’s core project team consisted of Kjell Renlund, Janne Hakala, Mira Ahonen and Joonas Tolonen.
