JAKARTA, 26 May 2025. EY successfully hosted the 10th EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ (EWW) Asia-Pacific Conference, held from 20-22 May 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The annual program identifies and supports high-potential women entrepreneurs across the region, helping them scale their businesses, expand internationally, and become role models for future generations. This year’s cohort of 24 remarkable women entrepreneurs have collectively generated over USD 1.2 billion in revenue and created more than 11,000 jobs, underscoring the critical role that women-led businesses play in driving inclusive economic growth.

Now in its 10th year, the EWW Asia-Pacific program has transformed into a dynamic ecosystem that connects women entrepreneurs across industries and markets, enabling innovation, collaboration, and long-term business growth. Through access to strategic insights, influential networks, and tailored support, the program continues to empower women to lead and drive meaningful change.

Peter Surja, EY Indonesia Country Managing Partner, says:

“Behind Indonesia’s rising economy is a powerful force: women entrepreneurs–who are not only participating in growth but actively shaping it. Today, over 64% of MSMEs in Indonesia are led by women – a figure that speaks volumes about women’s determination, creativity, and economic impact. Their influence is expanding across key sectors such as technology, healthcare, or manufacturing, closely aligned with Indonesia’s broader investment priorities. Events like this remind us that entrepreneurship is not just about capital or strategy. It’s about people.”

The conference was officially opened by Claire Cardno, EY Asia-Pacific Risk Management Leader and Co-Executive Sponsor of the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Asia-Pacific program, who emphasized the importance of belief, connection, and collective growth in shaping a confident future.

This year, Indonesia was represented by three influential women entrepreneurs:

  • Anandita Makes, Chief Strategy Officer of Plataran Indonesia, a hospitality brand rooted in ecotourism and cultural heritage.
  • Amira Ganis, Founder of Brawijaya Healthcare Group, a leading hospital network focused on personalized care for women and children.
  • Imelda Harsono, Chief of Risk, Technology and Compliance at PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk, a leader in Indonesia’s industrial gas sector and energy transition.

The conference concluded with a celebratory Business Leaders Networking Event on 21 May 2025, attended by all the EWW Asia-Pacific delegates, EY leaders and esteemed guests. The evening presented a fashion show with the women of the Class of 2025 as models.

A highlight of the night was the auction of a Suntiang, a traditional Minangkabau headpiece, which was won by Hoa Thi Viet Nguyen, one of the EWW Class of 2025 from Vietnam, with a bid of IDR 100 million. Proceeds were donated to Yayasan Ronald McDonald House Charities Foundation.
