Prof. Stella Christie Ph.D, Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, delivered the keynote address as the Guest of Honor. In her remarks, she highlighted that Indonesia is entering a pivotal era of change, led by national leadership that genuinely prioritizes science, technology, and research in both words and action. She also emphasized the importance of annual programs such as the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Program in giving Indonesian entrepreneurs the stage and confidence to be seen and heard globally, while reminding the audience that confidence alone is not enough in business and entrepreneurship; it must be matched with substance, innovation, and real impact.

Peter Surja, EY Indonesia Country Managing Partner, opened the event by introducing this year’s EOY theme, “The Shapers: Honoring Entrepreneurs Who Shape What’s Next”. In his remarks, he emphasized that the program recognizes bold, purpose-driven entrepreneurs with the courage to create change, and that this year’s finalists are not only adapting but actively shaping what comes next.

“Tonight, we present 11 outstanding finalists from 10 companies whose businesses together generate over IDR 8 trillion in annual revenue and drive transformation across different sectors. They show that sustainable growth can balance economic success with positive social impact. They were judges based on four EOY pillars: Entrepreneurial Spirit, Purpose, Growth, and Impact, demonstrating the leadership, creativity, and results they bring to their work.”

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 Indonesia, Charles Richard Oentomo, founded Centrepark in 2009 to modernize Indonesia’s parking industry. He has been instrumental in shaping the company’s direction by introducing technology-driven, cashless parking solutions that enhance the customer experience while maximizing value for property owners and landlords. Through this journey, Charles learned that a vision only becomes meaningful when paired with the courage to take risks. This means challenging established norms, letting go of outdated practices, and staying resilient in the face of setbacks. These efforts have helped Centrepark grow into one of the country’s leading parking management providers.

Upon receiving the award, he stated:

"The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program is a very good initiative because there are so many young entrepreneurs who haven’t yet been recognized, and they can see special recognitions like this as inspiration. For entrepreneurs like me, who used to focus only on traditional ways of doing business before starting to drive transformation, this program is very encouraging. I believe it’s a positive platform for anyone who wants to start, grow, and take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey."

The program also presented two category awards celebrating entrepreneurs who have transformed their businesses through strategy and innovation. First, the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award 2025 to Benedictus Widaja, President Director of PT Mandaya Sehat Utama, for redefining healthcare delivery in Indonesia. Second, the Emerging Entrepreneur Award 2025 to Jayadi Budiman, CEO of PT Jendela Kuliner Bersama, for building a high-growth consumer brand with clear social and environmental impact.

This year’s Country Winner and Award Category recipients were chosen by a distinguished Independent Board of Judges, comprising Dr. Ir. Darwin Cyril Noerhadi, MBA of Creador Indonesia, Shinta W. Kamdani of Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (APINDO), Winston Utomo of PT Media Putra Nusantara and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. of Yayasan Tarumanagara, and Henny Purnamawati of PT Egon Zehnder International. Their cross-sector expertise was instrumental in ensuring a fair, balanced, and thorough judging process.
