Marina Hirst Tristram is the Managing Director at Tasman Bay Food Group in the Nelson-Tasman region of New Zealand.
Marina joined the company in 2004 after working for Australasian food businesses in the UK. Marina recognized the opportunity to develop export markets for the Juicies frozen juice bar brand, and has worked to build a lean and efficient business to compete on the world stage.
After developing the business in Australia, Marina helped Tasman Bay to build new factories and achieving the highest level of food safety certification possible. Tasman Bay then began exporting to markets, such as Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. Marina continues her strong focus on continuous improvement and product innovation.
Marina’s vision for Tasman Bay Food Group is to internationalize the Juicies brand, taking it to six tier-one markets by 2020 with sustainable continuous growth across multiple channels.
Marina has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship. She is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors, and a director of the Nelson Regional Development Agency.
