Erlan Dosymbekov is the Managing Partner for EY in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
Erlan supervises a variety of EY projects in the region, most of which are aimed at public sector reforms, including the development of infrastructure, cleantech, regional integration, tax and customs administration, and many others.
Erlan is committed to enhancing the investment environment through his personal engagement and so devotes a lot of time to work with business and professional associations as well as EY’s corporate projects.
Beyond this, Erlan specializes in advising EY’s corporate clients throughout the Caspian region on tax, transactions and international structuring.
Erlan is a member of the Caspian Mineral Resource Committee of the International Tax and Investment Center. He is a key speaker at meetings of the CIS Energy Working Group held by EY in Houston, USA, for companies engaged in upstream operations and their subcontractors.

As EY Kazakhstan and Central Asia Managing Partner, Erlan has been instrumental in the year-on-year success achieved across services in the region.
He has over 25 years of professional experience in international tax advice, tax accounting, web-based reporting, tax risk management, tax performance advisory services and finance transformation. His ability to interact with clients across all their business needs has helped EY to build strong and trusting relations with clients. As a leader in investment attractiveness, Erlan serves as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors’ Council Association (KFICA). He represents the whole foreign investment community.
Erlan dedicates his time and efforts to improving the country’s investment climate. He contributes to the formation of a legal framework that will help attract foreign investments.
Erlan is also a member of the Board of the European Business Association in Kazakhstan (EUROBAK).
In addition to all of the above, Erlan is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce Council to Improve the Investment Climate, chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
He is a regular speaker at the largest conferences and roundtables on Kazakhstan’s investment attractiveness.
In 2018 Erlan received a letter of gratitude from the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan for his contribution to the development of the Foreign Investors’ Council.
