Dr Soraya Ismail

Dr Soraya Rahim Ismail is the owner and founder of Boost Juice Bars in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

Soraya studied in the UK, graduating with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London. After backpacking around the world for a year, she joined top international management consultancy, Accenture, working for 10 years as a global expert in CRM in their London and Melbourne offices.

Soraya became a fan of Australian brand, Boost Juice, and its iconic smoothies and juices whilst living in Melbourne and despite no real prior experience in F&B, she successfully secured the Malaysian Master Franchise for Boost Juice, beating over 100 other applicants.

She then quit her high powered corporate job to return home to Malaysia to start her own business. Five years on, there are now over 50 Boost Juice stores in Malaysia and Singapore, and Boost Juice is one of the fastest growing brands in the market. Not content with one brand, Soraya has started a new one: the London Sandwich Co. which has just opened its first store at Suria KLCC. In her own words, she is “fulfilling a dream of wanting to give something back to society and create a healthier Malaysia”.
