Matthew Chong, self-taught entrepreneur, founder and Group CEO, built BRANDKER Group, a brand investment and management company, in order to achieve his ultimate goal - to “Redefine the Asean Branding Landscape”.
BRANDKER Group comprises three main divisions: BRANDKER Consultancy (branding management and interior architectural design and development); BRANDKER Investment (involved in the food and beverage, education, ecommerce and property development industries); and BRANDKER Association (the branding association of Asean).
Matthew took his first risk as an entrepreneur at the age of 19, becoming a partner in an optical business. After a few years, he decided to make a living from his creative talent and became a stage actor, singer, songwriter and composer. At the age of 25, he opened the Little Tree Music Café, where he provided live unplugged music for his patrons.
At age 27, Matthew established his first creative B2B business, BIG IDEAS, a design and branding consultancy. After winning several job tenders, Matthew formed BIG SPACE, an ID and architectural consultancy at age 29.
Matthew then boldly ventured into the F&B industry, introducing COSANS Coffee – Artisan Coffee and Sandwich Co. to Malaysia. Within two years, COSANS Coffee expanded to COSANS Coffee Academy and COSANS Production with eight COSANS coffee outlets to date across the Klang Valley. At the same time, Matthew has also built another brand, MORCO – Artisan Coffee & Pastry Co., currently with two outlets in the Klang Valley.
