Tan Aik Keong

Tan Aik Keong is the founder and director of Agmo Studio Sdn Bhd, an award-winning mobile app development firm, serving multinational companies, government agencies and top brands.

Since incorporation in the year 2012, Agmo Studio has developed more than 100 mobile apps and received millions of downloads worldwide. Over a three-year period, it has also notched outstanding achievements from many perspectives, including customer acquisition, financial performance, market expansion and product innovation.

Agmo Studio broke even in its second year of operations in 2013, achieving more than RM1 million ringgit profit the same year, with eight full-time employees. Today, Agmo Studio has grown its R&D team to more than 30 people. Given its performance, Agmo Studio has attracted the attention of investors and has received recognition for its innovation, including multiple international and local awards like the ASEAN ICT Award and the MSC Malaysia APICTA Award.

A mobile app solution that Agmo Studio has developed is “Easy App”, one of the first cloud-based mobile apps builder, that enables SMEs, celebrities and communities to have their own mobile apps at affordable entry rates. “Easy App” received an investment at valuation of RM3 million in 2013. In 2014, “Easy App” established a marketing office in Beijing and successfully penetrated the China market with a localized brand named “JiXiuApp”.

Tan actively contributes back to society by promoting the use of mobile technology, giving talks and providing training to the public and universities. He is also a mentor to a number of mobile app start-ups in Malaysia and Thailand.
