How Roderick is building a better working world

Rod lives his purpose and finds fulfillment in making positive difference in the lives of others, which he does in a variety of ways. He mentors young professionals from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as a school principal from a low-income community. He raised funds and collected resources to open a library at this school, and he sits on the diversity sub-committee of another school’s board.

Rod has served on the Eldership and Council of his local church, and on the supervisory boards of the outreach ministry and an orphanage in a poor community.

He participates in three-day cycling tours to raise funds for his church outreach programs, all of which focus on supporting vulnerable groups, including child-headed households, elderly people with limited family and income support, and a Saturday school that supplements young children’s education.
