Tara is EY Americas Financial Services Tax Information Reporting and Withholding Leader; Principal, Tax, Ernst & Young LLP, advising on U.S. Information reporting and withholding, IRS controversy matters, compliance reviews, and FATCA and CRS tax technical requirements. She oversees the global EY organization's Customer Tax Operations and Reporting practice (CTORS), handling documentation validation, withholding calculations and reporting.

Prior to joining Ernst & Young LLP, Tara served as Senior Counsel at the IRS Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International), focusing on FATCA, nonresident alien withholding and international information reporting. She is a principal draftsperson of FATCA regulations, Chapter 3 and Chapter 61 coordination regulations, the FFI Agreement, the QI Agreement, and the WP/WT Agreement. Tara also served as an advisor on Automatic Exchange of Information at the OECD, contributing to the CRS Implementation Handbook and FAQs.

Tara holds an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and a JD from Chapman University School of Law.
