Understanding the EU Omnibus proposal: key insights and resources

On 26 February, the European Commission issued its Omnibus package, which sets out proposals for simplification across its sustainability reporting regulations. These include the EU Taxonomy, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). 

These proposed changes will impact the sustainability strategy and reporting agendas of many organizations with significant business activities in the EU. The following information is to help businesses consider the implications of the proposed changes and the opportunities they may present.
