Guillermo Rauch began his career in software development at the age of 10 in Lanús, Argentina. As a teenager, he began contributing to open-source software and soon became well-known in the JavaScript community. At 19, Guillermo moved to San Francisco, where he designed several open-source tools that made it easier for developers to create robust applications. He also cofounded LearnBoost, a learning platform, and Cloudup, where he served as CTO until it was acquired by Automattic.
Guillermo founded Vercel to provide tools and infrastructure that deliver dynamic, fast and secure applications. Vercel has become the infrastructure platform of choice for industry-leading companies and startups alike. The company is known for its relentless focus on the developer experience and design, with features such as preview deployments, collaboration tools and integrated observability. Most recently, Vercel released v0, an AI-powered assistant that allows anyone to create applications using natural language.
Guillermo's commitment to open-source software and advocacy for an open web has been the cornerstone of his career. In 2016, after discovering that the most dynamic experiences on the web were being created by massive global corporations, Guillermo designed and co-authored what is now the world's most popular React framework, Next.js. For millions of developers around the world, Next.js has leveled the playing field, empowering them to create at the moment of inspiration.
