SGV (EY Philippines), Assurance Leader

Oversees the well-being of the Partners and Staff, ensuring that the group nurture a common set of goals, objectives, and purpose that are satisfactorily met and aligned with SGV’s growth strategy.

Martin leads the Assurance Team to energetically work together and seamlessly deliver consistent exceptional client service to about 700 clients, including many from the top 100 companies in the Philippines, belonging to the Consumer Products, Airline, Transportation, Technology and Services sectors. He is currently the Global Client Service Partner and Engagement Partner for two of SGV’s top client groups with global operations. He also serves as Professional Practice Reviewer and Engagement Quality Reviewer for SGV’s top publicly listed audit clients.

Martin graduated from the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accountancy degree, cum laude. He completed the Master in Business Management Program of the Asian Institute of Management in 1999.

I have created a working environment where Partners and Staff are encouraged and empowered to freely express their perspectives, actively participate in identifying and solving problems and take leadership roles to ensure that mutually agreed goals and objectives are carefully planned for and achieved. I have successfully initiated and maintained several targeted programs in the Assurance Service Line across the four pillars – Markets, Operational Excellence, Quality and People – that have generated and facilitated the full and active participation and cooperation of Seniors, Managers and Partners and Support Staff across the group.
