Catriona is EY UK&I Client Technology & Innovation Officer. In the role, she harnesses the power of technology and drives innovation to help clients remain competitive in a disruptive environment. Previously, she ran our innovation centers in EMEIA (EY wavespaceTM).

A renowned behavioral psychologist and an leader in human-computer interaction (HCI), Catriona co-founded London-based experience design firm Seren in 2001. Now called EY-Seren, after being acquired by Ernst & Young in 2015, the company has offices in several countries, assisting clients to create well-designed experiences.

Since then, she has guided some of the world’s best-known brands towards digital success, earning a place in the BIMA Digital Hall of Fame thanks to two decades of outstanding contributions.

Catriona earned her degrees from the Universities of Stirling and Glasgow, and also studied at the Sorbonne, Paris.

How Catriona is building a better working world

Over the last 20 years, Catriona has been a tireless advocate of technology design, driving R&D in the field at any opportunity. She has also trained and employed some of the top talent ever to populate UX and HCI, ensuring more people can experience and engage digitized products and services.

Catriona has hosted and participated in a number of events, guest-lectured at various European institutions, and spoken at some of the world’s biggest conferences.
