Director, Affective Brain Lab
Tali Sharot is a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL, where she directs the Affective Brain Lab. Her research combines Psychology, Behavioral Economics and Neuroscience to reveal the forces that shape our decisions and beliefs. Her books, The Influential Mind and The Optimism Bias, have received the British Psychological Society Book Award. Dr. Sharot’s work has been discussed in many media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN and the BBC. A TED fellow, Dr. Sharot received her Ph.D from New York University, and has held fellowships from the British Academy and Wellcome Trust.
