How Omar is building a better working world

“I am a strong supporter of D&I in EY; we were the first of the Big 4 to publish Partner Gender Pay gap in we were the first to publish our Gender Pay gap in 2017 and also chose to publish our ethnicity pay gap at the same time; we were among the first signatories of the HMT Women in Finance Charter, and launched a ‘background blind’ student recruitment programme for UKFS, now the most successful student recruitment programme in the UK. And in 2020, we published our anti-racist commitments.

I am also proud of the role EY has played and continues to play in addressing the recapitalisation challenge facing SMEs as a result of COVID-19. It was an honour to lead the TCUK Working Group on Recapitalisation, which brought together 200 professionals from across the Financial & Relations Professional Services Industry to size the problem and propose some solutions and am delighted to see the impact our work has had on the Government response.”
