Today, EY made its appearance with innovative products and services at the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE), featuring “EY wisdom, driving towards a greener future”. This is the fourth consecutive year that EY has participated in the CIIE. As one of global leading professional organizations, this year, EY will focus on key issues including greenness and sustainability, technological innovation and digitalization, opening-up and going global, bringing EY wisdom to a wider range of businesses and communities to help them unlock potential and drive towards a greener future as we do within the EY organization.

The 4th CIIE is hosted as scheduled though the COVID-19 pandemic is still spreading across the world. This represents China's determination to expand opening-up as well as its commitment to boost reciprocity and mutual benefits with the world. With the launch of a series of initiatives to fuel the growth of global trade and economy, CIIE is going better on the way forward, thus contributing to the global economic recovery and helping build a world with an open economy.

Following sustainability philosophy and sharing green development opportunities

EY sees sustainability as an imperative and commits itself to promoting sustainable development worldwide. Lately, EY has become carbon negative, which means EY is now reducing its total emissions and offsetting and removing more carbon than it emits. Jack Chan, EY China Chairman and Greater China Regional Managing Partner, said, “Achieving carbon negative ambition, EY has demonstrated its commitment toward sustainability as well as its determination to take climate action. EY is committed to supporting the region’s sustainable development with multiple measures.”

In the new stage of national development, CIIE is of great significance to boost green development and embrace dual circulation development pattern. Beyond expectations, EY sees CIIE as an opportunity and will continue to help clients to identify and seize chances in the changing world, promote further optimization of business environment and play a part to ensure revitalization programs are implemented in harmony with environmental protection." Jack Chan added, “I am pleased that EY has participated in the CIIE for the fourth consecutive year. Again, EY and representatives from businesses and communities across the world are gathering in Shanghai to seek ways for common development. Based on this platform, EY will help more companies capture business opportunities from sustainability and decarbonization while also protecting and creating value and work together towards greener social and economic development.”

Bringing wisdom to CIIE and debuting multiple products

Building on its service capabilities and innovation resources worldwide, combined with its industry experience and deep insights accumulated in Greater China over the last 50 years, EY will debut multiple products including professional service and innovation outcomes at CIIE  2021, covering a wide range of frontier areas, from sustainable development and green finance to smart mobility, digital supply chain, digital marketing and technological innovation. For example, EY Enterprise Carbon Management Suite (the Suite) provides a visualized approach for organizations to better understand their carbon emission data via mobile applications, including intensity, structure, distribution and sources, with aim to improve the comprehensive management of carbon emissions, which can help an organization manage its carbon emissions, plan its path to green development and move towards a sustainable future. Look at another example - EY Blockchain Analyzer, which is designed to perform technical audit and assessment for blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts and related applications. As a blockchain platform, EY Blockchain Analyzer can provide a representation of behavior model and design implications for smart contracts and identify key risks in the operation of related applications to build trust with users in the ecosystem.

As for the new products to be debuted at CIIE 2021, Michael Bi, EY Greater China Markets Managing Partner, said, “EY has provided organizations with customized solutions in China for more than 50 years, allowing us to present a series of innovation outcomes with our deep insights and proven track record. We commit ourselves to providing technical support and insights for our clients. Going forward, EY will continue to work with our partners to promote sustainability, playing its part in building a better working world and contributing its expertise to economic and social development.”

Expanding booth to enhance interaction

Unlike single booth at trade in services exhibition area in previous years, EY has expanded booth at automobile exhibition area, each of which exhibits EY wisdom and provides better interaction in an open space with multiple digital and connected devices.

Rebecca Zhou, EY China Central Managing Partner, said, “Deeply engaged in CIIE, EY shows its commitment to contributing its part to CIIE. As we did in previous years, EY gives priority to CIIE and expects to exhibit our professional services, innovation outcomes and industry insights and offer practical support to CIIE on the way forward.”

At CIIE 2021, EY will exhibit diversified portfolios at trade in services area (8.2A2-05) and automobile area (2.1C2-001). At trade in services area, EY will share insights into hot issues including green finance, carbon neutrality, ESG, smart mobility, technological innovation, financial reform, featuring sustainability, dual circulation strategy and digitalization, to keep stakeholders updated with the latest trends. Besides, more activities have been scheduled, including agreement signing ceremony, business negotiations and presentations. To enrich the experience of visitors from EY wavespace, multiple digital and connected devices are used. On another front, as electric vehicles (EV) represent an unstoppable trend, major multinational automakers have accelerated their electrification transformation. Against this backdrop, EY sets up another booth at automobile area where we will debut our thought leadership on global automobile industry, analyze the status quo of industry development and discuss hot topics including smart mobility to help multinational new energy automakers with further development and tapping green opportunities in China. With a simulated EV-based structure, EY expects to provide visitors with immersive experience of riding in an autonomous vehicle.

Going forward, EY will continue to fulfil its corporate social responsibility and promote green transformation. We are expecting to share EY wisdom and opportunities for sustainable development to move towards a greener future.
