Zhan is a Senior based in Hong Kong and is part of EY Asia-Pacific International Tax & Transaction Services team. He joined EY in 2022, prior to which he worked in another Big Four organization in Singapore.
He is a Singapore accredited tax practitioner and holds an LLB from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Singapore Management University.
How Zhan is building a better working world
Zhan believes in tax policies that balance effectiveness and complexity, bearing in mind the overarching theme of achieving equity amongst businesses and the general population and facilitating regional trade and investments. He has participated in public consultations on Singapore budgets and written papers on proposals to amend existing tax rules to achieve greater efficiency in the Singapore tax ecosystem. Zhan is looking forward to contributing to public consultations in HK and Asia-Pacific region to streamline the regional tax ecosystem in light of current international tax developments.
