Mette is Europe Central COO at EY. She is therefore part of the senior leadership team for the Europe Central region. In addition, Mette is part of the Nordic and Danish leadership team.
In her role as Europe Central COO, Mette has overall responsibility for EY’s central support functions, efficient operations, continuous optimization, and transformation. In this role, Mette sets direction and leads EY’s Europe Central region across 33 countries with 25,000 employees.
Mette began her career in the financial sector, focusing on strategic projects, restructurings, and optimization. She spent the second half of her career in consulting; first at KPMG until EY’s acquisition in 2014, and since then at EY in Danish, Nordic, and global roles.
Educationally, Mette holds a master’s degree from CBS and has since completed further executive education at IMD, Wharton, and Copenhagen Business School in leadership, organization theory, change management, and board work.
