EY acted as the tax advisor to VALOREM in financing of a Finnish onshore wind farm

On 8 February 2022 it was announced that VALOREM has raised merchant debt financing amounting to EUR 135m for the construction of a Finnish wind farm Matkussaari located in Kurikka with capacity of 148.5 MW from AIP.
The construction is expected to start in April 2022 and the wind farm is expected to be fully operational in January 2025.
EY supported VALOREM throughout the transaction process in various tax matters such as due diligence, structuring and modelling as well as financial model review.
