In the FSO Consulting Risk Lead role, Sami's responsibilities include versatile risk management tasks for the financial industry, covering the development of risk management services for the banking, insurance and asset management sectors. Sami's extensive industry experience helps EY to offer flexible service models for the financial sector.
He has worked for more than 25 years in consulting for the financial sector internationally. The experience covers, among other things, insurance system deliveries for both life and non-life insurance companies, versatile risk management tasks (e.g. AML & Sustainable Finance), business adaptation to changing regulations (e.g. MiFID II, IDD, GDPR, AML, Outsourcing). Sami is an experienced project leader with experience in leading various international teams with on-site, nearshore and offshore teams. Sami is also an experienced personnel manager.
Sami has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Vaasa. He also has an insurance degree, a higher insurance degree and an insurance broker's degree.
