JAKARTA, 8 June 2023. Today, EY Indonesia launches the EY Entrepreneur Of The YearTM (EOY) program after a successful comeback last year. The launch marks the opening of nominations for all Indonesian entrepreneurs across sectors and industries who have successfully overcome business challenges in this continuing disruption and unpredictable scenario. The call for nominations for this year’s Entrepreneur Of The Year is open until 28 July 2023.

Since 2001, the EY EOY Indonesia program has recognized over 200 Indonesian entrepreneurs for their outstanding achievements, leadership, and vision. Following this year’s theme The Art of Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurs who demonstrate purpose, vision, and success through impactful innovation, EOY aims to recognize entrepreneurs who continuously repaint and reframe our economy from innovative new angles through their passionate work and commitment.

Beyond recognition, EY EOY offers a range of opportunities for entrepreneurs and their businesses to grow. Entrepreneurs can join a diverse and inclusive community to connect with innovative and influential business leaders cutting across all industries and sectors, providing significant networking opportunities. The country EOY winner who will represent Indonesia in the World Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 Program in Monte Carlo, Monaco will have a great opportunity to connect and build relationships with global business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the globe.      

The selected finalists will be further assessed by an independent panel of judges from various fields including entrepreneurs, industry experts, academia, and past winner of EY EOY. There are four global benchmark criteria that represent long-term values, namely, entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact. The country winner of EY EOY will represent Indonesia to vie once again for the world title in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Eligibility – Who can be nominated?

The program is open to Indonesian entrepreneurs (WNI) across sectors or industries. The nominee should be an active member of top management of the company – including the founder/majority owner/executive. The company must be at least two years running and operating in Indonesia. The nominee should provide two to three years of audited financial statements of the company.

The program is free of charge. All nominations should be submitted at eoy.ey.com at the latest by 28 July 2023.
