On 22 September, EY Luxembourg hosted the inaugural Paperjam CFO Forum, bringing together four CFOs from across industries for a forward-looking discussion on how finance leaders are balancing investment, transformation, performance and long-term value creation in an increasingly complex environment.
Entitled “How CFOs Are Steering Growth and Transformation in an Uncertain World”, the conference explored the expanding role of the CFO. Against a backdrop of economic uncertainty, rapid technological change and growing regulatory expectations, finance leaders are moving beyond performance management to help shape strategic decisions and build confidence in the future of their organizations.
Panelists Florent Albert (Edmond de Rothschild – Europe), Lisa Pataki (SES), Maria João (Monnett Social) and Maxim Straus (Cargolux Airlines International) shared perspectives shaped by different sectors, company sizes and business models. Moderated by Nicolas Bannier, COO of EY Luxembourg, the conversation examined how CFOs are prioritizing investment in technology, AI, talent and transformation while delivering against short-term performance expectations. The panelists also considered these challenges through a Luxembourg lens, including cost pressures, regulation, attractiveness and competitiveness.

The evening concluded with a networking reception, bringing together more than 120 decision-makers and finance professionals to continue the conversation and exchange perspectives.
