Dato' Chevy Beh founded BookDoc in 2015, with the inspired goals of improving the efficiency of the healthcare ecosystem and helping patients find appropriate care anytime, anywhere. He envisions BookDoc as a one-stop booking platform that connects individuals to healthcare professionals and that integrates seamlessly with navigation (Google Map and Waze), land transport (Uber and Grab), accommodation (Agoda and Airbnb) and travel (TripAdvisor) platforms, for a hassle-free healthcare appointment experience.

BookDoc is the only company in Malaysia and health technology company in Asia that was listed in the CNBC World Upstart 100 List 2019. It was also the 2020 winner of the Alibaba Pfizer Asia competition as the most innovative healthcare company. It currently has operational presence in five countries/regions (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Thailand) and 20 cities.

BookDoc also actively promotes healthy lifestyles, organizes health advocacy activities and provides early health intervention programmes to address lifestyle-related diseases. It further engages in innovation by participating in research and development with universities.
