Dato’ Fong Swee Kiang (SK Fong), Chief Executive Officer of SkyeChip Berhad, founded the business in 2019 with a team of just 30 engineers. Under his leadership, SkyeChip has grown to more than 400 engineers, fulfilling his vision of putting Malaysia on the global semiconductor map by transforming the nation from a traditional back-end assembly hub into a front-end silicon design powerhouse and empowering Southeast Asia to compete in one of the world’s most strategic technologies: AI and high-performance computing (HPC) chips.

SkyeChip is Southeast Asia’s premier fabless semiconductor company, headquartered in Penang, Malaysia, delivering world-class silicon intellectual property (IP), custom ASIC design services and proprietary AI chip products for the global AI and HPC markets. Its flagship portfolio includes high bandwidth memory IP (HBM3/3E at 9.6 Gbps on 4nm), LPDDR5/5X, UCIe chiplet interconnect and proprietary Network-on-Chip (NoC) IP, which is licensed to leading global integrated circuit (IC) companies. Under his leadership, SkyeChip achieved a 44.6% revenue CAGR from 2023 to 2025 and earned the IET Malaysia Industrial Excellence Platinum Award, while also being designated a New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 national mission enterprise.

The company continues to expand its footprint by growing its customer base across China, the US, South Korea, Japan and Europe, deepening alliances with leading semiconductor foundries, expanding engineering sites across Puchong Financial Corporate Center (PFCC) in Selangor, Vietnam, Singapore and China, as well as investing in next-generation HBM4, 2.5D/3D advanced packaging, UCIe chiplet platforms and AI ASIC products. These initiatives position SkyeChip as a leading global provider of NoC and HBM IP solutions.
