Tan Boon Yow is the Malaysia Deputy Consulting Leader at Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn. Bhd., with extensive experience in strategy, business transformation and complex technology implementation. He focuses on helping organizations address their most critical business and technology challenges, from strategy and design to execution and sustained impact.
Boon Yow brings deep experience in large-scale business transformation programs across technology transformation, ERP implementations, custom-built solutions and operational excellence initiatives. His work spans capital project management, asset operations, cost and financial management, maintenance strategy and supply chain optimization, particularly in resource-intensive and infrastructure-led sectors.
Previously, as EY Asean Technology Consulting Leader, Boon Yow played a key role in growing the Technology Consulting practice across ASEAN and Malaysia through innovation, asset development and long-term capability building. He has led complex, multi-country transformation programs and worked with diverse onshore, offshore and vendor teams to deliver sustainable outcomes at scale.
Prior to joining EY, Boon Yow spent several years at an international management and technology consulting firm, where he led management consulting, operational performance and technology implementation engagements for oil and gas companies across Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.
He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Universiti Malaya and is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
