Ng Kim Ling is the Malaysia Assurance Leader at Ernst & Young PLT, with more than 24 years of experience serving Malaysian and international clients across a broad range of industries. He leads the Consumer Products and Retail Sector team, as well as EY Private for Assurance in Malaysia, advising global brands, public-listed groups and fast-growing private businesses.
Kim Ling has deep experience in assurance, accounting advisory and financial reporting, including compliance with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). He has led large-scale audit engagements involving internal controls, significant accounting estimates and complex financial reporting matters, as well as regularly engages audit committees and senior leadership teams on audit planning, key findings and forward-looking recommendations.
His industry experience also spans consumer products and retail, trading and services, manufacturing, telecommunications, technology, healthcare, construction and property development. His portfolio includes multinational corporations, as well as major Malaysian enterprises.
Kim Ling previously completed a two-year assignment with EY in London, where he audited large multinational companies in the oil and gas and mining sectors. This experience strengthened his capability to navigate cross-border reporting requirements and to lead complex, multi-jurisdictional teams.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He holds a BSc Accounting and Finance from the University of Leeds, UK.
