Malaysia Budget 2026

Malaysia Budget 2026

Malaysia’s Budget 2026 was delivered by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on 10 October 2025 as the country’s fourth MADANI budget, and the first budget under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) 2026-2030.

Framed within the broader ambitions of the 13MP, Malaysia’s Budget 2026 continues the Government’s strategic pursuit of fiscal consolidation, inclusive and sustainable growth, and long-term competitiveness. With a record federal allocation of RM419 billion, the Budget reflects a focused stance to strengthen the nation’s economic fundamentals while navigating global uncertainties and regional competition. The Government’s commitment to fiscal discipline is evident in its target to reduce the fiscal deficit to 3.5% of GDP in 2026, while maintaining support for key sectors and disadvantaged communities.

Budget 2026 continues with initiatives consistent with the long-term guidance of the Ekonomi MADANI principles. This year's key measures are both strategic and practical, focusing on strengthening our fiscal position through digitalization, facilitating a decisive shift into an innovative and sustainable economy, and doubling down on high-impact sectors aligned with NIMP 2030. A continued emphasis on improving social protection remains a core pillar. The success of these strategic initiatives hinges on their clarity and effective implementation. A true whole-of-nation approach will be critical to bring these policies to life, ensuring tangible benefits for all Malaysians and securing our long-term economic objectives.
