After completing her accountancy degree at the University of Groningen, Femke joined EY in 2012. Following several years of experience as an external auditor for a wide range of clients, with a focus on integrated audits, including a three-year rotation in the United States where she obtained her US CPA qualification, Femke now focuses on delivering advisory services in accounting and internal controls as part of the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) group.
Femke is known for her expert advice to clients on a broad spectrum of financial accounting matters (including US GAAP, IFRS, and Dutch GAAP), as well as for creating, enhancing, and testing internal control frameworks related to financial and ESG reporting. Regulatory compliance and supporting accounting and compliance functions are key priorities in her work.
